M-THEORY
are U.K. based Marcello Baccheschi &
Rob Nichols. Meeting on the dance floor of Sola Luna
(2001) they became good friends and already producing trance
music under their own solo projects, they decided in 2005 to
produce music together under their new project M-THEORY. Recently
signed to Alchemy Records, M-Theory are exciting dance floors
with their edgy morning melodic sounds, underpinned by phat
& funky bass lines.
Marchello
Electronic music lover since his teenage years, Italian-born
Marchello moved to London in 1997 where he started djing trance.
Performing alongside all major artists, in underground venues
and legendary clubs alike (such as Tyssen Street studios, Enlightenment,
Mindscapes, Astral Phoenix, Antiworld and Chichime to name a
few), his groovy taste and impeccable mixing technique has won
him a respected place in the UK psytrance scene.
Label dj for Etnicanet Records from 2001 to 2004, he moved to
Neurobiotic Records in 2005. He has played around Europe, at
international festivals and events like Celebra Brazil, Brazilians
Trance Festival, Sonica and more. In 2002 along with friends
he founded the cutting-edge London party ‘Fairy Tales’.
Producing music for a while now, his solo project Cimi has appeared
in compilations for Alchemy, Point Zero and Y.S.E. Pairing up
recently with Rob (Monastic Squid) on an exciting new project
‘M-Theory’, they are about to release new material that will
blast the dance floors with their fresh production and atmospheric
journey of sound. Rob
Playing music from the age of 12, U.K. born Rob grew up in a
small Somerset costal town. After taking up piano, Rob moved
on to drums and guitar but remained a keyboard player foremost;
playing in school and college bands. At University he became
equipment manger and started the ‘Flat press’ electronic nights
in Winchester, U.K, spinning vinyl such as Orbital, F.S.O.L,
Black Dog Productions; Rob also helped out with friends in the
early 90’s London squat party ‘Zero Gravity’ ~ hosting now familiar
names as Justin & Aaron Liberator, Dave the Drummer and
the Club Dog crew. Regularly journeying to festivals and parties
through the 90’s Rob followed the Techno road before in 1995,
a friend played him a Tsuyoshi Suzuki mix and Rob discovered
‘Goa Trance’. Travelling the world to find out ‘what it’s all
about’…he returned to London in 2000 and began producing psytrance
under the name ‘Monastic Squid’; releasing on Alchemy Records
and Procyon Records before teaming up with good friend Marcello
to focus on their new project ‘‘M-Theory’ ‘blending phat &
funky bass lines, underpinning morning melodic frequencies’. |
